About CAM Hospital — More Than a Hospital. A Thrissur Institution.
For over four decades, Chandramathy Amma Memorial Hospital (CAM Hospital) has stood at the heart of Thrissur's healthcare — built on compassion, grown through trust, and committed to every life we touch.
Our Journey
1970s — The Vision
Late V.N. Nair returned from Singapore with a singular vision: to bring modern, accessible healthcare to the people of Thrissur. He partnered with Dr. M. Chandrasekharan to turn that vision into reality.
1981 — The Beginning
What began as a modest clinic under Dr. Chandrasekharan's guidance quickly earned a reputation for quality and trust, expanding to include Ophthalmology, Gynaecology, ENT, and General Surgery.
1990s–2000s — Expansion & Technology
Through the 1990s and 2000s, CAM Hospital added new operation theatres, a diagnostics wing, specialist OPDs, ultrasound, C-Arm imaging, laparoscopic systems, and a non-invasive cardiac lab.
2010s — NABH Certification
Achieving NABH certification was a landmark — formal recognition by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals that CAM meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and patient care.
2020s — The Future
Today, CAM Hospital operates a 4K laparoscopic surgery unit, Level II NICU, sports medicine programme, and comprehensive wellness packages.
Mission, Vision & Values
Mission: Accessible, affordable, world-class medical care with compassion at the core.
Vision: To be Kerala's most trusted community hospital.
